Performance Metrics are a set of key metrics that give you feedback about how you are performing based on renter expectations and the behavior of top performing owners. While a good response rate and time can already help improve your position in sort today, cancellation and accept rate are new concepts that we will create policies around in the future. Improving these metrics makes it easier for renters to find high-quality, dependable RV owners and will help you increase your number of bookings.
Performance Metrics are only visible to you as the owner and can be found on your RVshare Dashboard after logging into your account.
The main metrics displayed on the Performance Metrics page are:
Response Rate is the percentage of the messages and booking requests in your inbox, not including Smartmatch messages, to which you have responded. We calculate this by looking at the last 10 messages and booking requests in your inbox and calculating the percentage that you have responded to. If you have fewer than 10 inquiries in the last 90 days, we will calculate your percentage from the number you have received.
To maintain a high response rate, make sure you are responding to all messages and booking requests. Turning on Instant Book is also a great way to increase your response rate as renters will get an automatic response.
Response Time is the average amount of time it takes for you to respond to new messages and booking requests. We calculate this by determining the average amount of time between when you receive a new message or booking request from a renter and your response over the last 30 days.
To improve your average response time, respond to new messages and booking requests from renters quickly. You can ensure a fast response time by ensuring that all notification settings are set to “On” and you frequently check into your RVshare inbox for new messages or requests. Your response time does not include Smartmatch and is not affected by follow-up messages, so you don’t have to send the final message in a conversation to maintain your response rate.
Cancellation Rate is the percentage of bookings that a renter paid for and then were cancelled by you. We calculate this by looking at the number of bookings that were accepted, and then cancelled by you, in the last 365 days. Renter initiated cancellations do not affect your cancellation rate, but cancelling on the renter’s behalf does negatively impact your rating.
Cancellations should never occur for preventable reasons such as personal use of the RV or pre-planned maintenance. To improve your cancellation rate, always ensure that your calendar is up-to-date and that you’ve added any specific rules regarding usage to your RV listing information.
Coming Soon: Accept Rate
Accept Rate is the percentage of booking requests that you have accepted. We calculate this by determining the percentage of your accepted bookings in the past 365 days.
To improve accept rate, avoid having to decline booking requests by ensuring that your calendar is up-to-date and you include any rules or policies that may disqualify a renter on your listing page. You can also improve your accept rate by turning on Instant Book - Instant Book is an automatic acceptance of a booking, which will positively impact this rating.
