If you are a renter, you can view the payment details for your reservation within your conversation with the owner in your RVshare inbox. There will be a blue button that says, “+View Details” within your reservation information which lists the payments you have made. If there is an insurance charge, then RVshare rental insurance was included in your reservation. If the status of the insurance charge is “paid” then RVshare rental insurance is active on your reservation.
If you are an owner, you are able to tell if a reservation is insured by looking in the Reservations section of your RVshare dashboard.
Here are 4 status messages you may see under a reservation for insurance:
- Insured (in green)
- Insurance Pending (in yellow)
- Insurance Failure (in red)
- Get Insurance Quote (in blue)
If you see a green "Insured" status, this means the insurance payment has successfully processed.
If you see a yellow "Insurance Pending" status, this means that the insurance payment has not yet processed. The earliest the insurance payment will process is 30 days before the reservation start date. If you are within this timeframe and are still getting this status, this means that the renter has not signed the digital Rental Agreement. The Rental Agreement must be signed for the insurance payment to process and the rental to be insured. Please encourage your renters to complete the Rental Agreement as soon as possible.
If you see a red "Insurance Failure" status, this means that the insurance payment attempted to process and failed. In this situation, you or the renter will need to email us and let us know so we can try to reprocess the payment. The renter will likely have to update their payment method on file.
If you see a blue “Get Insurance Quote” status, this means that this reservation was booked before you activated RVshare rental insurance. In order for the renter to add insurance to their reservation, you will need to click this link. Doing so will send the necessary information to the renter (in their RVshare inbox) to add insurance to their reservation.
