You have 72 hours from the end of each reservation to inspect your RV and submit the checkout form to let us know if there were any damages or overages.
On the day after the reservation ends, you will receive an email reminding you to submit the checkout form. To access the checkout form, either click the link in that email, or login to your RVshare account, go to Reservations, and click on “Submit damages & overages” under the reservation that needs to be checked out.
If there are extensive damages and you will need to get a quote from a repair shop for the cost, in the Damages section of the checkout form, select “Yes, but I’m waiting on price quote.” This will then allow you to upload a description of the damages, as well as photos and any other useful documents, like the Departure and Return Forms. A member of our team will reach out to you a few days later for an update and to see if you’ve received a quote.
If there are damages and you already know the cost, you can simply select “Yes” and provide the amount, as well as the description and photos of the damages, and the quote or receipt showing what it cost you to repair or replace the damaged items.
If there are no damages, and only overages, then you would leave the Damages section as “No” and input the fees that need to be charged. For each fee you add, you can select whether or not you would like to charge taxes on the fee, as well.
If there are mileage or generator overages, out of pocket gas expense, or the RV was returned late, then you can simply input these in the sections provided to you in the checkout form. If there are other fees that need to be charged, you will have to submit each one as a Custom Fee.
To add a custom fee, click on “Add New Fee” and enter in the details of the fee, including the amount. Then click “Add Fee” to add the charge.
Once you have entered in all of the fees that need to be charged, check the box at the bottom and click “Submit.”
You will then be taken to a page that allows you to review what you have entered, and if no further changes need to be made, you can submit the charges. Once they have been submitted, the renter will receive an email with a breakdown of the charges claimed. You will not have the option to submit the form again, so it is important to make sure that all of the charges are accurate, as they will be processed accordingly and no other charges can be added later.
