Whether you’re an RVing amateur or expert, whether you’re traveling across town or across the country, the steps you’ve taken thus far are the same:
You’ve booked the perfect RV, you’ve researched your destination(s), and now you’re all set, right?
Mostly. Before your journey begins, there are a couple things you’ll want to ensure are completed.
First and foremost, you should fill out and sign the Digital Rental Contract pertaining to your rental. You can access this document and electronically sign it through the RVshare Dashboard. If you have not signed it, you will be able to see a yellow button associated with your upcoming rental that reads, “Next Step: Sign Rental Agreement.” Simply click there and follow the on-screen prompts.
*If your rental is covered by RVshare Rental Insurance, coverage will not be active unless this document is signed.*
In addition to the Digital Rental Contract, it is not uncommon for RV owners to have supplemental agreements for you to sign. Please be sure to review, sign, and return those to the RV owner in a timely manner.
Secondly, keep an eye out for a few important emails. The first of which will have your Insurance Addendum attached. This document will act as proof of insurance for your rental and also provide important information regarding your coverage should you need to file a claim.
Look out, too, for an email regarding 24/7 Roadside Assistance information. You should receive this message 2 days before your rental begins. Roadside Assistance information is also included on the email notifying you that we have successfully authorized your security deposit.
You are ready to start your epic RV rental! But before you take the RV on the road you should ensure you and the owner perform a walkthrough of the RV and confirm the conditional fees, and your responsibilities. The return time should be agreed upon by you and the owner. Some owners will already have a Departure Form handy, however in order to be prepared, we suggest bringing your own copy when you meet the owner. You can find and print the Departure Form by logging into your account, and clicking on the “Documents” tab. This form is used to note any pre-existing damages. You should also bring proof of insurance, proof of license, and you will want to exchange contact information with the owner.
